Peace in Me

I was recently called to be the new secretary in the Young Women's Presidency. When the president sent me the notice of the new Mutual theme, I knew that I wanted to write a song for it.

"Learn of me and listen to my words. Walk in the meekness of my Spirit and you shall have peace in me" D&C 19:23

The message spoke to my heart. I'd been worrying about how I was going to provide for my kids and take care of things as a new single mother. I became so worried that I was having a hard time sleeping.

I listened to this song and repeated it over and over again. It was the perfect recipe to help calm my worries, relax and to be able to put things in perspective. I remembered that God knows what I am going through and He has a plan for me. He doesn't want me to worry but to feel His peace.

I'm grateful for the peace that has come as I've studied God's words and learned to become more like my Savior. I truly feel His peace and it's helped me to be happy almost all of the time.

I hope this song and recording will help you to feel God's peace as you make the efforts to learn about our Savior and to do the things that would help you to draw closer to him.
