I Kissed His Feet

Many years ago,
maybe you have heard.
when Jesus walked upon the earth
to spread the gospel word
And I was there, though filled with sin
and hearing of my savior,
how I yearned to be with Him

As he approached my city
and with Pharisees he met
I brought a box of ointment
and I ran to him and wept.

I I kissed his feet, and did not cease
With oil, I anointed them,
Inside I felt such peace
I felt his love, within my soul
A pledge to serve him all my life
became my goal

It was all that I could offer
in riches it seemed small
but I could tell, by His loving eyes,
He knew I'd given all.

Then with my Lord,
still weeping there;
I bathed his feet with falling tears
and wiped them with my hair
Others who saw, could not believe
This man who claimed divinity
would let me touch his feet

As I knelt there weeping,
the savior said to me,
"Women, thou art forgiven;
thy faith hath saved thee."

I kissed his feet, and did not cease

What a sacrifice he's made for us
so we could know the way,
And He's still our Redeemer,
just as He was on that day
